Comunicación y Hombre from 2019 makes public some of the metrics of the magazine, that is, some tables where the values ​​of aspects that reflect the measurement of their scientific quality appear.

In the last issue of the magazine, 30% of the authors are international, 25% of the participating universities are foreign, and only 10% are authors from the Francisco de Vitoria University. In total, this edition includes 22 articles, of which 45% are related to the data topic. There are 11 areas of study to interdisciplinary approach to the topic of Data Communication: medicine, sports, politics, music, journalism, business, art, advertising, fiction, entrepreneurship, teaching of sustainability.

The editorial and scientific committee of Comunicación y Hombre magazine has a total of 27 members, of which 15 are external. Regarding the evaluators, of a total of 37 members, 28 of them are external. Among committees and evaluators we have a total of 64 members, of which 43 are external, which represents 2/3 of external members.

The international index ESCI (Emerging Source Index) has included Communication and Man in its ranking, after analyzing its Publication Standards, Ethical Publishing Practices and editorial content among others: the magazine has exceeded the evaluation criteria in 2018 for ESCI.

According to Comunicare, assuming the Impact Factor in 2018, the magazine would rank 41 out of 115 magazines indexed in ESCI in the area of ​​Communication, with an Impact of 0.393 and a 64th percentile. The data has been calculated according to citations to articles in the Web of Science Core Collection.

In the 2019 MIAR database (Information Matrix for the Analysis of Scientific Journals), updated annually the data collection for Communication and Man has obtained an ICDS (Composite Secondary Diffusion Index) of 9.6 in 2018. This indicator shows the visibility of the journal in different scientific databases of international scope and in repertoires of evaluations of periodical publications. ICDS 9.6 out of 11 (2019)

On the Dialnet Metrics portal, based on the analysis of bibliographic references cited in existing Dialnet publications, it offers a set of indicators to help identify the relevance of scientific production. The position of Communication and Man also appears among the 51 scientific communication magazines, rising positions from 19 to 13 in the last 3 years.

In DICE (Diffusion of Editorial Quality of the Spanish Journals of Humanities and Social and Legal Sciences). DICE, as it appears on the web, http://epuc.cchs.csic.es/dice/index.php, has the objective of facilitating the knowledge and consultation of some of the editorial characteristics and indirect quality indicators of the Spanish magazines of Humanities and Social Sciences.

DICE is the result of a collaboration agreement between the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) and the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA), the entity that finances its maintenance. It is a tool created by the Research Group Evaluation of scientific publications in Social and Human Sciences (EPUC) of the Institute of Documentary Studies on Science and Technology (IEDCYT) of the Center for Human and Social Sciences (CCHS) of the CSIC.

ANECA uses this database as a quality reference for Spanish publications, in its teacher evaluation processes. The EPUC group reminds the editors that sending the new issues of each magazine to this group is essential for the information in DICE to be updated.

It must be said that some of these indicators will have an improvement given the latest advances made by the magazine in recent months.

Among the priorities of the publication are obtaining the 33 Latindex criteria, raising the 2 missing points and especially the 7 missing criteria for ANECA, already fulfilling 15 of 22.

Will also be a goal to follow to achieve the 5 points for CNEAI where Comunicación y Hombre is meeting 13 of the 18 criteria.

According to the Information system that integrates quality indicators for Spanish scientific journals in Social Sciences and Humanities: RESH (Spanish Journals of Social Sciences and Humanities), it has been published that Comunicación y hombre meets 31 quality criteria out of 33 in LATINDEX, 15 of 22 from ANECA and 13 of 18 from CNEAI and a diffusion of 3 in the database and accumulating an impact between 2004-2008 of 0.061

Regarding citations in GOOGLE SCHOLAR, the magazine obtains an h5 Index of 6 and Median h5 of 10. The impact index is the h5 indicator used by Google, that is, the number of citations collected through the Google Scholar tool. Metrics, which relate the articles published in the last 5 years with the number of citations received.
