This article aims to show the parallelism between American writer Flannery O’Connor and Romano Guardini line of thought regarding the mystery of suffering. In a world where suffering is unavoidable, men who do feel deeply alone and desperate, can find God’s presence which offers its Grace to those who freely want to embrace it.
