Abstract

The hybridization of fact and fiction is being imposed on television programming. This article pretends to analyze the fiction/nonfiction paradigm for a specific product of our current television culture: the miniseries. The analysis has been made taking the example of the miniserie entitled “23 F, the toughest day of the King” – 23F, el día más difícil del Rey- since it is a fiction product based on real events of the Spanish contemporary history, as well as combining the tradition of textual analysis with the tools and perspectives of cultural studies.
