Abstract

The phenomenon of citizen journalism cannot be understood without the absorbent context of the Broadband Society. In this environment, which progresses to a guaranteed universal access to the Internet, we observe the generation of an unavoidable need to have a steady flow of content, the so called cloud journalism. In that way, citizen journalism, beyond it’s professional or amateur materialization, ensures participation leading to the necessary contents for the operation of digital communication ecosystem. Thanks to quantitative methodology, we find consensus on the importance of citizen journalism in the cloud journalism.
