Abstract
In a Catholic university, the search for Truth which is inherent to her and encourages both teaching and research involves broaching certain issues (anthropological, epistemological, ethical, existential) to “expand reason”. Humanistic research in particular is developed with a methodology that includes the perspective of a reasonable faith and is open to establishing dialogue with other areas of knowledge. Far from being an obstacle, this approach is not only consistent with the ideological position taken but also allows us to broach investigation in a way which is more comprehensive, complete and appropriate taking into account our reality and our deepest desires.
