Abstract

Reflection on the influence of the past in the construction of citizenship. It explains why, within that past is not the same historical memory that history. Analysis of the importance of historical memory and history in Spain today. We question whether the society needs a Spanish Historical Memory Law and if its contents are fair. Finally we reflect on whether this interest by imposing a single historical memory contributes to coexistence and, therefore, the construction of citizenship.
