Abstract

As a result of the subsequent analysis of the circumstances which led to the suicide of a journalist who had given out false information about the war in Iraq, this article ponders the conditions in which professionals in the world of communication carry out their work. The article places special emphasis on the pressure of the influence of the media and on the ethical-deontological aspects. The conclusions of the study show to what extent the decisions that a journalist takes on how to carry out his work are influenced by those elements made up of by public opinion and political decisions.
