Abstract
One of the most exciting episodes in Spanish journalism took place in a detached house at the residential neighbourhood of El Viso in Madrid. There, a continuous struggle for democracy was shaped, and lead to a publication with a suggestive title: Cuadernos para el Diálogo. Different personalities collaborated on it with a unique goal: freedom. The magazine became an emblem for a whole generation of democrats that were lead by Joaquín Ruiz-Giménez. This paper analyzes Cuadernos stages and changes; along its life trajectory, as an intellectual monthly magazine first (1963-1976), as a general information weekly afterwards (1976-1978).
