Abstract
This article contains the results of a study which aim is to analyze the Autonomous Regions’ public telephone services available for women. Based on a panel of experts and the statistical information gathered, the study describes the characteristics of the women’s information and help helpline, focusing on three main variables: total calls received, reasons for the calls and the users’ socio-demographic profiles. The uneven geographical implementation and the disparity of criteria in data collection are worthy of mention, impeding the accurate comparison of the autonomous regions and complicating the study’s prospects.
