19th march 2008

In the current situation, in which changes represent the routine, mass media should adapt to them, without losing sight of the position they occupy in the society where they are placed. One of the reasons for those gradual transformations is the Internet incursion as channel and, in many senses, as a driving force of varied circumstances and changes in the media. This communication is aimed at analysing, from a singular approach to the term “mutation”, the movements produced in media companies as a macro-context of new journalism, in which the receiver becomes protagonist even, starting point of the communicative process.
