The informative rigor in postruth age: the threat of the fake news in the social media

Abstract

Democratic Goverments have always been exposed to the changes of the public opinion. The control of that opinion is key to guarantee the victory in the next elections. Till now, with a media landscape dominated by mainstream media, it was hardly simple for Govements to have a control over the agenda. The new paradigm caused by the birth of digital life and the growth of social networks generates and earthquake where nobody is able to set the agenda. Thus, social media become new players in the public opinion sphere and introduce new realities. It is in our hands, the possibility to learn how to manage these new tools.
