Abstract
The 3D image, before cinema, never managed to establish it’s place in the world of media, appearing and then disappearing periodically. Nowadays, there are still many unresolved problems that prevent 3D from being a common feature on our televison sets at home. But everytime a new form of media appears it is followed by the usual predictions that it will bring about the extinction of the current forms. Will this continue to happen in the future ? Will we remember 2010 as the dawning of a new age in media ? Or will 3D be consigned to history as a passing fad. Will technology finally perfect this unnatural simulation of our wonderful three dimensional view of the world and stop giving us headaches ?
