The political logo as an instrument of significance in the electoral communication
The logo is one of the main hallmarks of any company, product, service or event. It is the graphical representation of its personality. In electoral communication, a very persuasive field, the logo has a remarkable presence as visual signature of the party. The research presented aims at analysing the meanings conveyed by the graphical attributes of the political logo in electoral campaigns. With this goal, the logos of the main Spanish state political parties in the three campaigns conducted nationwide between 2007 and 2009 have been analysed, in terms of different variables.
